I am studying the Sabbath School Quarterly lesson right now. It's only me who is still awake at this time and I love the solemnity at this very hour. I am listening to Central Study Hour right now at
Amazing Facts and I love to think and feel that I am just with swithart, still, as we used to do this together every Friday night. I love the lesson for this quarter! That's why I try so hard to keep on browsing the online copy since I don't have the hard copy of the book itself. The Puzzle of Jesus' Conduct. Indeed, so puzzling. At our human minds, we tend to get something negative out of it, but to get the point of what Ellen G. White is saying,
“We are to copy no human being. There is no
human being wise enough to be our criterion. We are to look to the
man Christ Jesus, who is complete in the perfection of righteousness
and holiness. . . . He is the pattern man. . . . His character is our
model.”—Ellen G. White, In Heavenly Places, p. 166.
In the end, it is still between what we do and who we follow. Imperfections, failures, and negativities are what we see in humans. Even with our own family members, or with the workers at church. But we ought to keep our eyes on Jesus. We'll find delight and strength if we do so. Have a Happy Sabbath to everyone who drops by!
